Levisa Fork Paddlefest
A 8-mile trek down river
The fourth Saturday of each month from May to September, kayakers and canoers launch into the Levisa Fork of the Big Sandy and make the 8-mile trek down river. The journey begins in downtown Prestonsburg, where watercraft meet the waves at River Park behind Billy Ray’s Restaurant. The scenic floating trip lasts three to four hours, and lunch and shuttles are available. Participants can bring their own kayak or canoe, or rentals are available. Registration is $15, which includes a tasty lunch and shuttle service back to your vehicle in downtown Prestonsburg. For more information, call 606-886-1341 or email info@prestonsburgky.org.
